The highly anticipated North American tour brings S.E. Hinton’s timeless story of the Greasers and the Socs to the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts for a limited engagement, running December 16-23, 2025.

This new hit musical takes S.E. Hinton’s classic novel and Francis Ford Coppola’s legendary film and brings them to life on stage.

The story drops you into Tulsa, Oklahoma, 1967. Ponyboy Curtis, his best friend Johnny Cade, and their Greaser crew are always up against the rich kids; the Socs.

As they struggle to find their place, the Greasers dream about who they might become, even when the world keeps shutting them out. The original score packs a punch, and at its heart,

The script comes from Adam Rapp and Justin Levine, with music and lyrics by Jamestown Revival (Jonathan Clay and Zach Chance) and Tony winner Justin Levine. Levine also handles music supervision, orchestration, and arrangements. Rick and Jeff Kuperman created the choreography, and Tony winner Danya Taymor directs. Entertainment Weekly nailed it: “THE OUTSIDERS has the power to inspire an entire generation.”

THE OUTSIDERS is about friendship, family, and finding where you belong, and realizing, against all odds, there’s still a lot of good out there.
