Galacticoaster is the first new roller coaster to arrive at LEGOLAND Florida’s main park since the place opened back in 2011. It’s also LEGOLAND Florida’s first indoor family coaster with a space theme, and it’s set to open on February 27, 2026.

“You’re never going to see a launch like Galacticoaster, that’s for sure. Even in Florida,” said Rob Smith, the COO of Merlin Entertainments.

This indoor ride takes families on a space adventure, hitting speeds up to 40 miles per hour. Everyone—rookie recruits and space cadets alike—gets to design their own spacecraft before climbing aboard. There are over 625 possible combinations, so you can really make it your own.

“That immersive experience with the building, with the customization—it’s all about sparking creativity. That’s the magic of LEGO, and something you can only do at LEGOLAND resorts,” Smith said.

While you’re on board, you’ll fly through a LEGO solar system with synchronized lights, huge projection effects, detailed story moments, and plenty of LEGO characters guiding the way.

The new area isn’t just about the coaster, either. There’s a DUPLO space-themed play zone for the little ones and a LEGO Galaxy shop packed with space-themed sets and souvenirs.
