Attention food lovers—you know who you are. Mark your calendars because The New Smyrna Beach Coastal Catch Restaurant Month is back for round two this October.

After a triumphant inaugural year, the Coastal Catch Restaurant Month is back by popular demand. For an entire month, October 1st through 31st, all the finest spots in the area throw down their absolute A-game. We’re talking exclusive dishes, killer prix fixe menus—a full-on flavor parade. Local chefs just flexing their skills and showing off what coastal cuisine is supposed to taste like.

And get this: primo three-course meals for either $39 or $59. It’s a total steal. Whether you’re itching to try somewhere new or just want to roll up to your old favorites, these deals make it ridiculously easy to eat everywhere. Take it from me, sampling your way around this hidden gem of a beach town is a blast.

The New Smyrna Beach Coastal Catch features legends like Henry Salgado at Spanish River Grill—the guy’s been a James Beard semifinalist not once, but twice. Expect chef-made magic on your plate, loaded with fresh, local ingredients. Every bite just smacks of that laid-back, beachy vibe.

With so many restaurants to choose from, you may feel overwhelmed with the epicurean riches. Sit back and let Florida Experience Magazine be your guide to The New Smyrna Beach Coastal Catch Restaurant Month 2025.

Unwind in Style at the Flagler Tavern

Before checking into our hotel, it’s our tradition to stop by the Flagler Tavern. There’s just something special about sitting on their deck, as the Atlantic Ocean air washes away your troubles and cares. It’s a place where I can easily switch my vibe from screech-mode to beach-mode. And where else are you greeted by the unofficial New Smyrna Beach mascot, the rooster?

As one of the Coastal Catch restaurants, the Flagler Tavern makes a mean Cappuccino Martini, my go-to cocktail once we hit Florida’s Fall Season of October. Their delectable Boom Boom Shrimp Tacos is a perfect starter as we prepare to check in to our hotel.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott at New Smyrna Beach

If you’re ready to ditch the stress and actually enjoy your stay, SpringHill Suites New Smyrna Beach is a slice of heaven. The rooms are nice and roomy, with plenty of space to sprawl out after a day of pretending you’re athletic in the ocean, or, honestly, just napping like a pro.

Need Wi-Fi? It’s free. The pool? Oceanfront and shiny enough to wish you could sit and listen to the waves forever. If you’re one of those people who hits the gym even on vacation, their fitness center is fancy enough to make you actually want to use it.

Do you find yourself craving snacks at 2 a.m.? The Market’s got you covered 24/7, so go wild. Mornings are a joy with the free breakfast featuring a view of the ocean. You can’t beat the location. New Smyrna has this chill, artsy kind of vibe.

SpringHill Suites New Smyrna Beach is basically a deep breath of ocean air. Just show up and chill.

The Grille at Riverview

Who can resist waterfront dining while watching playful dolphins and manatee romp as the sun sets over the Indian River?

The Grille at Riverview offers a mixed vibe of fine dining in a relaxed setting. The place pulls off that neat trick where you can roll in wearing jeans but still eat food that’ll make your grandma clutch her pearls—think steak, seafood, juicy burgers, pastas, and whatever specials the chef’s been dreaming up lately.

It’s a perfect spot for a casual date, to sit at the bar for Happy Hour as you listen to live music—there’s enough room and good energy for whatever you’ve got going on. Fridays, the Reef Bar inside pops open right at 5 p.m., if you’re the type who likes to start the weekend early. Or just hit the outdoor deck all week—Key West vibes, breezy as all get-out.

Our server, Joshua was the best, and his recommendations were spot-on fabulous. Famous for their Prime Rib and freshly caught fish, we couldn’t resist the Prime Rib, perfectly prepared with a deep, rich, beef-forward flavor. Savory and tender, the Prime Rib elevates any dining experience.

Joshua also recommended the Oscar Style Grouper, one of my favorite seafood selections. You can’t go wrong with Oscar-anything, in my humble opinion. The Grille at Riverview outdid themselves. The crab and hollandaise sauce was light and delicate.

We topped off our meal with their popular Key Lime Pie, Banana Bread Pudding and a cup of coffee. The coffee was smooth and the desserts absolute perfection. The bread pudding made me weak at the knees, and the Key Lime Pie is authentic and tangy. The manager, Jennifer, stopped by for a friendly chat to make sure we were having a good time. The answer was a resounding yes.

The Grille at Riverview is a must-try for your Coastal Catch experience. Be sure to save this locale to experience their stunning magical sunsets and live music.

If you find yourself itching for some adventure on Saturday morning, be sure to take in the New Smyrna Beach Farmer’s Market, located at 210 Sam’s Avenue.

Experience the best of farm-to-table freshness, featuring locally grown fruits and vegetables, handmade artisan products, unique crafts, yummy, prepared foods and so much more.

While you’re exploring, take a leisurely stroll through the Downtown Arts District, a vibrant cultural hub nestled along historic Canal Street. It’s a place where creativity, community, and coastal charm converge.

Anchored by renowned venues such as The Hub on Canal and Arts on Douglas, and supported by Jane's Art Center, The Artists' Workshop, and Wirth Gallery. The district offers visitors an immersive experience in visual arts, history, and Florida's unique small-town spirit—all within a walkable, tree-lined setting.

The Outriggers Tiki Bar & Grille

Last, but certainly not least, is The Outriggers Tiki Bar & Grille, a New Smyrna Beach staple for outdoor dining, live music and classic coastal fare.

The Outriggers is particular about offering the freshest of ingredients and goes to great lengths using local farms and fishermen for the finest freshly caught fish. These flavors put the “save” in savory. It’s as if the seafood jumped out of the water just for you. And for the steak lovers, “Angus” isn’t just a fancy word, it means this meat’s top of the line.

It’s a place to kick back and watch the boats float by on the inlet, as you observe a dolphin or two. Live music’s always rolling, and the bartenders are wizards. Ask them to make you something wild or just stick with a killer glass of wine or that one local IPA everyone’s obsessed with.

After a friendly greeting from Nick Solman, the general manager, our fabulous server, Josie, offered up top-notch recommendations. We started off with Tuna Triangles, edamame hummus with a sweet Asian glaze on a pita—delish. And you can’t go wrong with their Coastal Coconut Shrimp with their tangy pepper key lime dipping sauce.

The Walnut Encrusted Fresh Catch (Grouper) was light and perfectly prepared with a pineapple and peppadew rhum butter, with red bliss mashed potatoes.

For the land-lovers out there, you can’t go wrong with the Korean BBQ Sticky Ribs. Deliciously crisp baby back ribs, glazed with sticky chef-made BBQ sauce, house-made kimchi and bamboo rice. We give it two out of two sticky thumbs-up for this yummy entrée.

We polished off our lunch with even more Key Lime Pie (when in Rome, am I right?) and Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake. Everything was expertly prepared, and the portions are mammoth. Thank goodness for doggy bags.

The Outriggers is kind of like Florida in a nutshell: chill, a little fancy when it counts, and always ready for a good time. It’s why visitors and locals alike keep coming back—they always make sure there’s something worth showing up for.

If you’re in need of a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life or just want some good food, The New Smyrna Beach Coastal Catch Restaurant Month is an opportunity to hit the reset button. Just park your stress at the door, dig in, and let the good eats do their thing. Welcome to your new happy place.
